Lake Vermilion latest fishing news from Everett Bay Lodge – Thanks to Tim Olsen for sharing this picture of his grandson Riley’s Lake Vermilion muskie.

Lake Vermilion musky fishing

Riley with a nice Lake Vermilion musky.

Other fish we heard about include:

Largemouth Bass:  19.5″ Larry Bird, 18.5″ Larry Bird

Smallmouth Bass:  18.5″ Jason Rodriguez

Northern:  37″ John Bird

Muskie:  37″ Riley Garrison

Walleyes were caught early in the week on the main lake structure, with both leeches and crawlers producing fish.  Many of our guests reported catching nice size pan fish and perch along with a good number of hungry smallies and largemouth bass.  This upcoming week looks to bring the more typical warm weather we have been missing so far this month, and we expect both the muskie fishing and the walleye bite will benefit as a result.  A guest who arrived yesterday evening was able to go out after unpacking and catch his walleyes – mainly eaters, one slot fish.  Not a bad way to start the week!

If you are considering a trip north, we have a 3 night stay for Wed – Fri this week and an opening in the big house July 23rd week – we can downsize the big house if you have 4 or more people.  That’s it for July.  In August we have 3 nights in the 1 bedroom, the 3rd – 5th, 4 nights in Cabin 2 starting the 16th, and one spot the week of August 20th.  Now is the time to make some plans.

Stop wishing….Come fishing!!!
