The high heat and humidity broke this
past week and gave way to some welcome coolness.
Temperatures have been in the sixties this week compared to
the eighties last week. The lake temps have dropped about
ten degrees into the high sixties. Water levels remain good
with regular rain. The walleye
bite should improve as the temps drop. Fish are still
located on main lake humps and breaks. Some fish should
start to move to mud soon.
Smallmouth have been caught on rock
points with leeches. Fish 15-18.5 have been caught with
regularity. Northern were caught in the weeds close to docks
last week. Musky action was slower last week in the heat.
Many fish were seen but aggressiveness was lacking.
