The full moon pattern over the last
week may have improved the bite. Many nice walleye over
twenty inches were caught in some very acceptable fishing
weather in the sixties. We've had consistent rain and the
water level remains high. Water temps have stayed in the
fifties.
Smallmouth bass have improved, but are
far from peaking. We need those water temps to get into the
sixties. Then the bass will go. I saw Frank Graczyk Jr.
release a 21 inch smallmouth yesterday.
The northern have been very decent. No
giants yet, but many in the low 30's.
