Fishing got even better this past week.
Walleye are being caught off shorelines on minnows, leeches
and crank baits. Many large fish over 20 inches were
released this past week. John Gunderman and his boys
released 8 over 20 inches. Slip bobbers started to work as
well this past week. Water temps
are still in the mid to upper 50's. We haven't had much high
pressure southern warm weather flow yet.
Smallie action got much better as they
started to show up in shallow water near boulders. Baitfish
have also shown up in shallow water this week. Weed growth
is still a little behind schedule though. Northern continue
to be caught in the weeds, some into the 30's.
