The walleye action has
uncharacteristically slowed for this time of year. Usually
they've started to put the fall feed bag on by now. A bunch
of canary blue skies in a row may have played a role in the
slowdown. The lake continues to drop due to the lack of
rain. This past week Eric and I
managed to catch two smallmouth bass that were both 18
inches. Both came off shallow boulders with topwater baits.
Dave Mason and Brett Morley both
boated 50 inch muskie this past week. Both fish were
personal bests. Each came on a bucktail. Today I boated a 41
1/2 on a topwater.
