Last week the bite was great right before
dark on the moonrise. Walleyes continue to be caught on
Lindys with crawlers in 15-25 ft. Glenn Peterson released a
22 trolling. Water temps are now into the seventies. We have
had some nice warm temps. The newly hatched perch have
started to die like they always do. The walleye and bass
bite should improve as a result.
The muskies and northern continue to move
real well. Last week five fifties were boated. It's really
been fantastic. The Larsen's boated 12 fish last week. Bob
boated a personal best 53 1/2 and his son Eric boated a 51
and a 50 1/4. Dave Bielak boated a personal best 50 1/4, and
I boated a 51. My son Eric boated a 41 inch northern. Three
boats boated seventeen fish. This week started off real
strong as well. Expect to see some big ones reported on the
new moon phase.
