Walleyes Transition

2008-07-01

Another great weather week is behind us. Lots of sun, a little rain and some great fishing. Walleyes were caught shallow, but as the week wore on they started to get them a little deeper in 10-14 ft. The Bullocks did well on walleye. The biggest caught by Nicole was a 28" on a slip bobber.

Tim Magee and daughter Amanda did well on smallmouth bass and caught walleye as well. Tim's biggest walleye was a 23". Tim caught them about any way you can casting. Amanda caught a 18 1/2" smallmouth. Greg Conklin caught what may be the biggest smallmouth of the season a 22". My daughter released a 18 1/2" largemouth caught with a leech. Brad Springer released a 19" smallmouth.

Nick Novak boated a 51 1/2 muskie on a spoon. The muskie have been missing so far. Not showing themselves often.

May your pole always be bent! Dave
