For the most part this week has been
sunny and warm. The grounds have firmed up. The water
temps are up at least eight degrees as a result. Largemouth
bass are on the beds. Bluegill are real shallow too.
With all this sun, the early morning
and late evening walleye bite has been good on
leeches, minnows and trolling crankbaits. Andrew Berkland
caught a 27" and Deborah Jawarski caught a 26.5".
Greg Conklin caught two 20" smallies
this week and his young son caught a 36" northern. Overall
the fishing has been really good. Only the muskie fishing
could be better. I'm sure it will with just a little
more heat.
