We've had some rain consistently up here
so the grounds are a bit soggy. The fishing though has been
very good on cloudy days especially. The lake is still up
very high and the water temps are close to 60 degrees. Reeds
are starting to poke through around the docks finally.
Some big fish have been caught the last
week. Jim Blevins caught a 25 and a 28" walleye trolling. He
also released a 20" smallie. The slip bobbers are working
still in shallow water in the evening with leeches.
The bluegill and largemouth bass still
haven't spawned to my knowledge. We need warmer water, less
wind and some sun. Still haven't seen signs of mayflies yet
in the bay. That's still to come. Did see a young black bear
in the parking lot yesterday at around 4 in the afternoon.
Looked about a year old.
