Walleyes have continued to bite out on
sunken reefs on crawlers and leeches. Many have been
productive. Doug Miller had a bang up week with many fish in
the 20 - 27 inch range. At the
end of last week Robert Larsen boated a 53 1/2 muskie, his
best ever. Many big fish have been caught this year over 50".
Jim Saric was here last week filming a TV show The Musky
Hunter with Chad Cain for three nights. They boated four
fish with the biggest being a 50 1/2. It should make for
some great footage this fall or winter on Fox Sports. Mike
Heit boated a 40 late in the week. Chad Bleeker was here
with his brother-in-law Stephen Ames and they managed to
boat some mid forty inch fish. I believe six altogether.
Carl Stayberg boated a 43 1/2.
Nice northern have been boated either
muskie fishing or trolling shorelines. Amy Olson released a
39" northern. Mike a Jordan Heit released a 37 and 36 and
Wes Stayberg released a 36.
