It was another Great Opener on Lake Vermilion.  Even though the water temp dropped from 53 degrees to 47 from Thursday to Saturday, the walleyes cooperated.  Scott Christison caught a 24", Larry Doran and Nick Christison caught 21's and Lee Harris and Dave Spong caught 20"ers.

Guests that have stayed on to enjoy the whole week continue to find walleyes and are having a great time with the northerns.  In fact, we snuck out for a 1/2 hour jaunt, and had 2 on at the same time while the phone was ringing - Just the way it's supposed to be!!  Caught 5 in no time. 

The water temp climb has returned and it is up to 57 degrees with a sunny forecast, so we should be in for some normal early spring conditions.  Looking ahead we had a cancellation for Memorial Day weekend in a 2 bedroom, and the "big house" which holds from 10 - 16 is open.  If a trip north is in your plans, give us a call at 800-249-3178.
