It's definitely a big fish year. Robert
and Eric Larsen from Fond du Lac, WI, after four days of
frustration, managed to break the ice last Wednesday with
Eric's personal best a 51 1/2" musky. His dad Robert got
what he was looking for the next day with a 51", also a
personal best. They managed to get two fish in the mid 40's
on Friday. John Kretchmer and
Tom Maki boated seven fish in four days. John's fish were
49,43 1/2, 42,41. Tom's were 45,45,44. Mike Stoner boated a
couple of nice fish. One was 49 and the other was 43.
Walleye were caught on the summer
reefs and off points. Rob Lowth from Rolling Meadows, IL
caught a 26" and a 22 1/2".
Ed O'neill from Dwight, IL caught and
released an 18" smallie.
The weather has been hot (high
eighties) and the wind has been too calm recently at the
start of this week. There's been some walleye caught with
Cliff's Guide Service early and late in the day. The middle
part of the day has been fairly inactive except the pool has
been busy.
May your pole always be bent! Dave
