The last couple of days we've had some
muskie boated! Two smaller fish were caught on Sunday and
today. Two larger fish were boated as well on the same two
days by Mike Wenzel from Illinois. Mike's first fish was a
personal best 53 1/2". The other one was a very nice 48".
The water temp. is in the high 60's.
Jessie Bullock caught a 23" walleye and
some very nice bass last week. As did my son, Eric. He
released a 19" smallmouth and a 21" walleye. Joel Wagner
caught a 21" walleye trolling. The walleye have started to
switch from leeches to crawlers. Panfish have been
consistent on nice calm sunny days on a pinch of crawler.
The effects of the mayfly hatch were
short lived this year, probably due to the consistent wind
last week which destroyed the carcasses pretty quickly.
May your pole always be bent! Dave
